Frozen water

using my new extra fast shutter speed!

Silvered tree

I used an old fashioned film effect to take this photo, it was shot originally in full sunlight.

Reflections on the water

I love to try and catch the reflections of birds on the water, I also love to try and get a sense of symmetry when taking pictures of swans because their necks are so elegantly shaped.

tradtional sunset over boats

I didnt know whether to crop this picture of leave it as it was, both seem to work.

Could it be england?

This picture was taken near Brighton but when I look at it out of context it reminds me of China or somewhere similarly far away. I like the way there is an expanse of water behind him, it makes me feel peaceful, I was experimenting with the rule of 'thirds' in photo composition here.

reflections

Picture framed

I tried to create a natural picture frame for the photo using tree trunks.

Old old postcard

Im not sure why i like this photo so much? It almost looks like a black and white print and gives me a sense of being really old.

God comes to earth

I overexposed this picture which I think gives it a sense of purity , I can almost imagine something holy shinig with all the light..

When was I?

Boats at sunset with an old fashioned grain effect, I like the excess of light in the middle of the picture I think it gives the photo a sense of light and peacefulness

Animal photography

A portrait of a horse.

Natural fisheye

The hole in the tree trunk here created a fisheye like effect but i wasnt sure if it worked better in the original or the modified picture, the first picture is converted into an oldfashioned grainy film effect that means you can't neccessarily understand what you're seeing but it had a sense of mystery that I like

Ghostly

Pinhole forest shot, it vaguely reminds me of a scary film with the pinhole causing the trees to bend in slightly in a claustrophobic way that gives it its slightly tense atmosphere.

I need to learn how to digitally edit!

I would maybe like to touch up the colour of the ground here to match the brightness of the sky! I need to play around on photoshp with exposure and saturation levels, I also took this photo in a RAW format so I think I can change it around a little bit more easily but I am still learning how to do this!

I can see the light

Country lane shot in black and white, picture cropped later, photo taken on a panasonic lumix FZ38
