I'm thinking of starting to experiment with taking pictures of lightning. The UK has been sunny for so long I reckon that there may be lightning and thunderstorms brewing in the not so distant future! I've been told it's pretty tricky to get good pictures and especially one as good as the above photo. The trick is in when you press the shutter release and how long you set the exposure. I'll let you all know how my experimentation goes..
